Welcome to Central Regions Livestock Professional Association. Central Regions Livestock Professional Association is a legally registered non-government, non-political and non-profit organization that was formed in March 2002 in Jowhar by livestock professionals to deliver support and assistance to pastoral and agro pastoral communities and their livestock in the Hiran, Middle Shabelle region at Hirshabelle State and Galgaddud and Mudug regions at Galmudug states of Somalia. The association brings together veterinarian and vet assistance that work in Central regions ( HIran Galgadud, Middle Shabelle and South Mudug) in the livestock sector.

CERELPA focuses in the implementation of Livestock and livestock production, Natural Resources Management and livelihood projects working to address immediate needs and increase opportunities at the grassroots level. 

CERELPA’s program components include livestock vaccination and treatment, restocking and destocking, training for community animal health workers, and raising awareness among pastoral communities. The organization also implements cash-plus livestock input initiatives, provides training and distribution of fodder and machinery, and offers training on community resilience and disaster risk management. Additionally, CERELPA conducts research, water trucking, vector control, disease surveillance, and the rehabilitation and construction of water reserves for the animal husbandry sector, all in line with sustainable development goals. Furthermore, CERELPA distributes vaccines and quality veterinary drugs.

CERELPA is committed to identify new and innovative approaches on livestock production to meet the needs of its target groups. We believe in a change not through a radical dynamic of revolution, but to unfold the social issues with positive solutions of social development mechanisms. 

Our work focuses on identifying the most critical and challenging problems on livestock health and production, while developing successful strategies, building effective institutions and creating efficient delivery mechanisms through capacity building and nurturing natural environment. 

We base our programs on facts and data, not mere assumptions, the core team of CERELPA consists of highly qualified professionals having many years of working experience in the development and research sectors CERELPA utilizes the services of a vast group of professionals from a variety of disciplines. CERELPA is operational in Galmudug and Hirshabelle States with its main offices in Mogadishu and sub offices in Beletweyn, Gurie’l,  Galkacyo and Jowhar town.
